Introducing Secure Call ID on iOS

Identify internal calls. Keep your company directory private.

At Calliente, enterprise data protection is at the core of everything we develop.
Synchronizing your Microsoft 365 directory with mobile devices improves call identification and user efficiency, but this should never come at the expense of data privacy.

That’s why we’ve introduced a new feature for iOS users: Secure Call ID.

What is Secure Call ID?

Secure Call ID is a privacy-focused mechanism that allows your iPhone to recognize internal company calls without saving any contact information in the native Contacts app.

Instead of writing contacts to the default address book — where they could be saved to the user’s personal iCloud — Secure Call ID saves internal numbers via a secure integration layer. This ensures that:

  • No contacts are exposed outside the Calliente app
  • Nothing is saved to iCloud
  • The company directory remains where it should be: under the control of your IT environment

Why is this Important?

By bypassing the native Contacts app, you eliminate the risk of your company directory being exposed to personal services.
For regulated industries or security-conscious organizations, this is an essential layer of protection.

✅ Prevents iCloud syncing of business contacts
✅ Fully compliant with BYOD and MDM policies
✅ No alteration to user experience — numbers are still recognized during incoming calls
✅ Contact information remains accessible within the Calliente app

Who is it for?

Secure Call ID is ideal for any organization looking to deploy Calliente to iOS users while maintaining strict control over enterprise data.
Whether your team uses personal devices (BYOD) or company-managed phones, this feature integrates seamlessly with current data governance policies and security standards.
