With this in mind, we have introduced Secure Call ID, a feature dedicated to iOS users.
What is Secure Call ID?
Secure Call ID is a mechanism designed to allow an iPhone to recognize internal company calls without saving contacts in the native Contacts app.
Instead of writing information to the default address book — which may be synchronized with the user's personal iCloud — Secure Call ID uses a secure integration layer specific to Calliente.
This approach ensures that:
- no professional contacts are exposed outside the Calliente app
- no data is saved in iCloud
- the company directory remains under the control of the IT environment
Why this approach is important
By avoiding the use of the native Contacts app, Secure Call ID eliminates the risk of inadvertently synchronizing professional contacts to personal services.
For organizations subject to high compliance, privacy, or security requirements, this is essential protection.
Secure Call ID specifically allows:
- preventing any iCloud synchronization of professional contacts
- remaining compliant with BYOD and MDM policies
- preserving the user experience, with incoming call identification always functional
- maintaining access to contact information directly within the Calliente app
Who is Secure Call ID for?
Secure Call ID is intended for organizations that wish to deploy Calliente on iOS while maintaining strict control over business data.

Secure Call ID is not enabled by default.
